Battle of the Schools
The IDEAL National Championship presents ‘Battle of the Schools,’ a competition to determine the top apprentice in Canada. Apprentices from across the country will compete in qualifying events held at schools and union halls. The country has been divided into six regions, and the winning apprentice in each region and their school will be awarded their share of over $25,000 in cash and prizes!

What’s at stake?
- The top student at each event will receive a prize pack consisting of a Battle of the Schools t-shirt and a Tuff-Tote™ leather tool pouch.
- At the end of the season, the fastest student in each of our six Canadian regions wins a $1,000 scholarship and a custom Muskoka chair. Their school will also receive $2,500 worth of IDEAL tools and supplies.
- The overall fastest Canadian student and overall fastest Canadian IBEW apprentice will each get an additional $1,000 scholarship.
