Polycarbonate Enclosures
Eaton’s B-Line series polycarbonate Type 4X enclosures are designed to house electrical and electronic controls and instruments. They are ideal for indoor and outdoor use in harsh environments where they help protect against corrosion, windblown dust and rain, sleet and snow, splashing water, hose-directed water, as well as sun, UV, and flame protection.
Design Features
- Impact-resistant, non-conductive light-weight hot compression molded reinforced polycarbonate
- Rope style neoprene or poured polyurethane seamless gasket provides a watertight, dust-tight environmental seal
- Sliding T-nut allows for infinite panel height adjustment back to front as well as the ability to side mount panel, DIN rail, or other instruments
- Captive screws provide smooth surfaces
- Multi-directional mounting feet allow mounting flexibility
- A fully non-metallic hinge does not penetrate inside the enclosure
- Thick, robust sidewall construction eliminates sidewall flexing
- Built-in DIN Rail mounting embosses in the back of the enclosure
- Non-metallic or 300 series stainless steel used on all external hardware
- Integral mounting bosses utilize threaded brass inserts accepting #10-32 screws for mounting optional panel
- Rounded edges reduce the build-up of dust and debris
