PoE Pro "Hi" and "Lo" Upgrade

INDUSTRY NEWS

All new PoE Pro’s will now include a “Hi” and “Lo” option in the settings menu.

The software update controls how much power the tester will attempt to draw for a given class of PoE supply. For each class, there is a minimum and maximum power that can be delivered. When in Hi mode, the tester will PASS the test if the power delivered is equal or greater than the high range for the class. In the Lo mode, the test will PASS if the supply can deliver power equal to or greater than the low range for the class.

Using Class 6 as an example from the chart below; if the tester is set to Lo it will PASS if 51 or more watts can be delivered. If in Hi mode, it will PASS only if 60 or more watts can be delivered.
