ZEVIP Funding for EV Charging in Manitoba

The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) provides funding towards the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) chargers and hydrogen refueling stations across Canada. For delivery organizations can provide funding for smaller EV charging projects through organizations authorized to redistribute a component of the ZEVIP funding.

Listed below are the current open opportunities:

MMDA

Manitoba Motor Dealers Association (MMDA) has opened up their “Lead The Charge” funding campaign to all projects that are public facing and networked. In an effort to help increase access and availability of electric vehicle charging stations in Manitoba – applicants can apply for up to a 50% rebate on their EV charger and installation.

Who is eligible to apply?

Eligible applicants within the Province of Manitoba such as:

  • Companies
  • Indigenous businesses or communities
  • Public institutions
  • Provincial, territorial, regional, or municipal governments or their departments or agencies

What type of project locations are eligible?

  • Public Places
  • Workplaces (Excludes private residences with a registered business at the same address)
  • Light-Duty Vehicle Fleets
  • Public spaces include community gathering places such as recreation centres, libraries, town halls, curbside locations, service stations, restaurants, medical offices, park-and-ride sites, etc.

What is the rebate amount available?

The portion of the Contribution for each Sub-Project shall be less than $100,000 and limited to the following amounts:
